Constantino Nunzio Angrisano, "Andy" 89, a longtime
resident of Malden, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the
Melrose-Wakefield
Hospital in Melrose.. Andy was born and raised in East Boston,
one of nine children. Shortly after high school, he enlisted
in the US Army to help our country's fight in WWII. He served
in the Army Air Corps, and was active in the battle of New
Guinea. He was a qualified marksman, and primarily served as an
airplane repair specialist. Andy was honorably discharged in
December of 1945 having had tours in the Asiatic Pacific Theater
and the American Theater.
In 1948
Constantino married his sweetheart, Jeanette Pelligrino. He and
Jeanette shared nearly 60 years together until her recent
passing last December. The two first settled in East Boston
before moving to Malden in 1955 to raise their family. Once in
Malden, he became an active member of St. Josephs Parish in
Malden. For many years Andy served as an acolyte for the
Church, assisting with the daily Mass. Andy had also
joined the Meat Cutters Union and worked for many years at the Armour Beef Company. He retired from the company in 1981.
Andy enjoyed
gardening, tending to both his flowers and his vegetable
garden. He also enjoyed watching baseball and football with
his wife, the two would even stay up and watch the late games
from beginning to end. Their enthusiasm for watching sports
carried down to watching all of their grandchildren's games
throughout the years. It was times like this with family that
Andy treasured the most.
He is survived
by his daughters, Andrea J. Cox of Andover, Paula M. Bazlen of
Richmond, VA, and Nancy J. Adrian of Boxford, his son, Michael
B Angrisano of Saugus, as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren.
He was
preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette (Pelligrino) Angrisano,
his parents, Giuseppe and Carpina (D’Onofrio)
Angrisano, his son Mark A. Angrisano, and his eight brothers
and sisters.
Visitation
will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden on Sunday, Aug 17th, from 4-8 PM

Funeral from
the Weir~Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St.
Malden on Monday, Aug 18th, at 9AM followed by a Mass
of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street,
Malden at 10AM. Father
Bill Minigan, Pastor of the Church will be officiating. Burial
will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
