Edward Dante Bagnera

Edward D. Bagnera, of Wilmington, formerly of Malden, passed away suddenly on July 30th at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, he was 73.  Ed was born in Winthrop in 1937, the son of Anthony and Viola (Orsini) Bagnera.  He was raised and educated in East Boston.  In May of 1959,  Edward married his sweetheart, Margaret "Peggy” DiNocco and the two shared over 52 years together.  Ed had become an electrician by trade, and he ended up opening his own appliance repair shop in Malden called Malden Microwave.  He successfully ran the business for over 30 years.  He had a strong work ethic, and even after closing his shop, he took employment with Lowes to keep busy.

He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peggy” Bagnera, his sons Paul E.  Bagnera of Saugus, and Ronald E. Bagnera of Tewksbury, his daughters, Gail A. Bagnera of N. Reading, and Kim A.  Bagnera of Nashua, NH, and his grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Nicole, Anthony, Nico, Gianna, and Kailee.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Viola Bagnera.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Wed, Aug 3rd, at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, Malden, at 10AM.  Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tues, Aug 2nd, from 4:00PM – 8:00 PM
