Mary Loretta Carlan
Mary L. (Crane) Carlan, of Revere, formerly of Springhill, Florida and Malden, died suddenly, Friday, May 9, 2008 at her home in Revere, Mary was 69. Born on November 11, 1938 in Boston, Mary was the daughter of the late Jefferson T. & Marie E. (Tilton) Crane. She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1956. After raising her daughters, Wendy & Jody and her son, Mark, Mary moved to Springhill, Florida were she worked for the local Wal-Mart Department Store for ten years. When she returned north, she settled in Revere and worked for the Wal-Mart in Lynn until her passing. She had a total of twenty years working for Wal-Mart. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to her CD music. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy L. Damon of Malden and Jody A. Repici of Saugus, her son, Mark E. Damon of Malden, her loving sister, Yvonne Healey of Billerica, and her brother, Thomas Crane of Deland, FL. Mary is survived by her cherished grandchildren Kelsey, Cameron, Casey and Haley Repici, Diana, Mark and Tayla Damon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leo Crane and her former husband Merrill E. Damon. Visitation will be held at the Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be held in the Weir Funeral Home, on Friday morning, May 16, 2008 at 10AM. The Rev. Ruth R. Oduor will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
