Shirley Olive Moreschi

     Shirley O. (Stefanilo) Moreschi of Yarmouth Port, formerly of Malden, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Kindred Hospital in Braintree, she was 72.  Born on November 4, 1935 in Malden, Shirley was the daughter of the late Clement D. and Antoinette Stefanilo.  She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School with the Class of 1954.  She married her husband, Frank W. Moreschi, Jr. on July 7, 1955 in the St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Revere.  Shirley and Frank settled in Malden to raise their family.  In her earlier years, Shirley worked for John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston until she left to raise her family.  After her children were grown, Shirley went to work at Sal’s Dry Cleaners in Malden.  She worked there for fifteen years as the manager until she and her husband retired to the Cape. 

     Shirley is survived by her husband, Frank W. Moreschi, Jr. of Yarmouth Port, her children, Cheryl Meklis of Melrose, Darlene Moreschi of Lynn, Frank W. Moreschi, III and his wife, Marie of Malden, and Michelle and her husband, Al Tortora of Middleton, her siblings, Helen Trabucco of Malden, Nettie Beradino of Florida, Anna LaSpesa of Melrose, Marie Lanzarone of Wakefield, Clement D. Stefanilo, Jr. of Malden, Marie Rega of Revere, and Barbara Zona of East Boston, her six grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.  Shirley is also survived by her three Boston Terriers, Bonnie, Clyde, and Boston.

     In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Michael D. Hurley and her brothers, Nicholas and Charles Stefanilo, and Arthur Loretti.

Visitation will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Mary's of the Assumption Parish, 660 Washington Street, Revere at 11AM.  Fr. Paul J. Aveni, Pastor of St. Mary’s will be presiding.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
