Ruth
Elizabeth Noble
Ruth E. (Cummings) Noble of Malden died Monday, July 7, 2008 at
the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, she was 80. Born on
May 26, 1928 in Malden, she was the daughter of the late James
(Ret. MF.D.) and Pauline (Oberlander) Cummings. Ruth was raised
and educated in Malden and was a graduate from Malden High
School with the Class of 1947. After high school, she went to
work for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company. In 1955, Ruth
married Teddy Noble (Ret. M.P.D.) in the then known Centre
United Methodist Church in Malden Square and shared almost 50
years together until Teddy’s passing in 2003.
Ruth is survived by her children, Pamela J. Bourque of Malden,
James E. Noble of Saugus, and Stephen A. Noble (M.P.D.) and his
wife, Robin of Wakefield, nine grandchildren, one
great-granddaughter, and her devoted cousin, Elaine Gordon of
Malden.
In
addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death
by her brothers, James Cummings, Jr. (Ret. M.F.D.) and Edward
Cummings (Ret. M.F.D.).
Funeral services will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule
Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Friday, July 11, 2008
at 10AM. Rev. Ruth R. Oduor, Pastor of the Good Shepherd United
Methodist Church in Malden will be officiating. Burial will
follow in the Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Visitation
will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from
4 to 8 PM. |
