Eileen Prosser

 

     Eileen  Prosser,  died Wednesday afternoon, February 18, 2009 at the Wakefield  Care & Rehabilitation  Center in Wakefield, she was 87. She was born on June 16, 1921 in Lancashire, England the daughter of the late Robert W. & Agnes (Wilkin) Rainford.  Eileen came to the United States and would later marry her true love Eldon G. Prosser. The couple remained in Malden and started a family. 

     Eileen worked for the former Charles Neidner & Sons, on James St., in Malden,   manufacturing fire hoses. She later worked as a line worker for the Palmer Electrical Manufacturing Company in Wakefield in the early 1940’s. Her main focus was caring for her husband, her son James and her loving church family. Mrs. Prosser had been an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Malden for over 45 years. Eileen husband Eldon later passed away on December 14, 1991.

 She is survived by her son,   James E. Prosser of   Wakefield and her loving and caring members of the church.

     Funeral service for Eileen will be held in the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 1 PM.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday two hours prior to the service from 11AM- 1 PM. Interment to follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. The Rev. Gerald L.Whetstone of the First Church of the Nazarene will be officiating.

 In lieu of flowers contributions in Eileen’s memory may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, “Memorial Fund” 529 Eastern Ave., Malden
