Celebrado Puzon

Esther Celebrado Puzon, 68, a teacher for
City of Boston, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the
Wakefield Care & Rehabilitation Center in Wakefield. She was
born October 28, 1942 in the Philippines, the daughter of
Vitaliano and Anatalia (Cebulo) Celebrado. Esther was raised and
educated in the Philippines. After completing high school, she
attended college where she received her degree in education.
She came to the United States and settled in the Boston area,
and has been a resident of Malden for many years. She became a teacher for the city of
Boston. She taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 35 years, mostly in
the Harvard Kent School in Charlestown, but at other locations
as well. She retired from teaching in 2008. Esther had a great
love for Karaoke, and also enjoyed dancing, but her greatest
pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie
Puzon of Peabody and Melinda M. Puzon of Malden, her sisters,
Susana Celebrado of Everett, MA, Esperanza Celebrado of Malden,
MA, Teresita Santos of the Philippines, her brothers, Rolando
Celebrado of Randolph, Pablito Celebrado of VA, and Antonio
Celebrado of Philippines, and her grandchildren, Anthony You,
Darren Howe, and Serena Puzon. .
Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish
Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Sunday, Nov 21st,
from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Funeral services will be held from the
funeral home on Monday, Sept 22nd, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church at 10AM. Interment to
follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
