Barbara (Prince) Schulze

Barbara (Prince) Schulze, 81, of Seabrook NH,
and Bradenton, FL, formerly of Malden, passed away on Friday, Nov 6th,
2009 with her loving family by her side. Barbara was born in Everett, in 1928,
the first of eleven children. She was raised in Malden and graduated from
Malden High School with the class of 1946. In 1947, she married her sweetheart,
Arthur J. Schulze, and the two shared over 62 years in marriage together. In
1965, with her children having grown a little older, she took employment with
New England Telephone as a directory assistance operator. She worked there for
almost 25 years until her retirement in 1989. Barbara was an avid reader and
enjoyed traveling, cooking, knitting, painting glass, doll making, as well as
mind games like crosswords, Soduku, and logic puzzles. She was also an
especially skilled seamstress and made by hand the family baptism gown, that all
the grandchildren wore, wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and many other
items. Her family will remember and eternally miss her for her love, wit,
wisdom courage, and strength,
Barbara is survived by her
beloved husband, Arthur J. Schulze, her daughters, Dorothy Busi and her husband
Robert of Malden, Carol Curtis of Somersworth, NH, Nancy Mancino and her husband
Alfred of Hampstead, NH, and Joan Julianello and her husband Anthony of
Londonderry, NH. She and Arthur were also loving foster parents to 57
children. She was the dear sister of Elizabeth O’Brien , Christine Hegarty,
Martha Warren ,and Walter Prince, all of Malden, Joan Post and Robert Prince of
St. Petersburg, FL, Margaret Broussard of Concord, NH, David Prince of Columbus,
MO, and Linda Smith of Contoocook, NH. Sister-in-law of Avis McLennan of
Laconia, NH, and Robert Schulze of Saugus, MA. She was the loving grandmother of
8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren as well as being survived by many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her cherished parents, Walther and Dorothy (Tanish) Prince, her sister, Dorothy White, son-in-law Frank Curtis and
precious Grandson Jason LaValle
Visitation will be held in
the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tues,
Nov 10th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held from
the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 11th, at 9AM followed by funeral
service in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 26 Washington Street, Malden, at 10AM.
Interment will be private.
