Rudolph Nick Sibilio

Rudolph
Nick Sibilio, 83, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away
suddenly while in Florida.
He was born
1927 in Boston’s North End, the son of Emelio and Philimina
Sibilio. Rudy was raised in Boston. After completing his
education, he enlisted in the US Navy to help our countries fight
in WWII. He later reenlisted and served a total of 7 years
with the Navy. A couple of years after his discharge, he
married his sweetheart, Bernice D. Lubinger, and the two
settled down to raise their family. They shared 56 years
together.
Rudy was a
longtime active member of the VFW Post 144 in Boston's North
End, where he had served as Commander and was recently
recognized for his 60 years of dedicated membership. He was
also an active, outgoing person who enjoyed golfing regularly,
and was skiing a recently as a few years ago. He especially
enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He is survived
by his wife Bernice D. (Lubinger) his daughter, Darlene F.
MacPherson of Tewksbury, and his grandchildren, .Lindsey &
Michael MacPherson of Tewskbury,.
Visitation
will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home
Rudy was
preceded in death by his son Andrew Sibilio, his brothers Al,
John, & Paul Sibilio, and his sisters, Josephine Geotis and
Carmilla Demby.
Funeral services will be held from the
Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street,
Malden, on Fri. Jan 28th at 8 AM, followed by a Mass
of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church at 9AM. Interment to
follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visitation will be held
at the funeral home on Thurs, Jan 27th, from 4 – 8
PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rudy's memory may be make
to the charity of ones choice.
