Judy Ingrid Smith
Judy I. (Hunte) Smith of Saugus, died Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, she was 53. Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on November 1, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Oswald C. and Duliria "Dolly" Hunte. In 1969, Judy and her family moved to the United States and settled in Malden. She completed her schooling in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the Class of 1974. Soon after graduation, Judy married Marcus F. Smith in Malden. She was employed with the Malden Saving Bank. Judy was responsible for writing mortgages and loans for the bank. She left the bank when her son Tyler was born to be a full-time mom. Judy was from Malden but had been a resident of Saugus for the past 30 years. Judy is survived by her husband, Marcus F. Smith of Saugus, her son, Tyler M. Smith of Saugus, her siblings, Trinity-Ray C. Hunte of Malden, Patricia B. Hunte and Frank A. Hunte, both of Florida, her nephew, Zachary and niece Morgan Hunte, both of Malden. A funeral service will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Crematory. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, November 3, 2008 from 4 to 8 PM.
