Jennie Mary Solesky

 

Jennie Mary (Cusson) Solesky,  78,  died Friday, October 02, 2009 at the  Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere, Massachusetts.  Jennie was born and raised in Malden. She graduated from Malden High School with the class of 1948.  Soon after high school, she enrolled in a nursing program and became a nurse.  She married her sweetheart, Edwin A. Solesky in December of 1949. They first settled in Malden where Edwin worked with Jennie’s brothers in the automotive industry.    After the family moved to Texas, Jennie worked for many years at  Shepherds Air Force Base.  When the family returned to the Boston Area, she worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.   She left nursing to take employment with Analogic Devices, where she worked until her retirement in 1981.  Jennie and Edwin enjoyed wintering together in Florida

She is survived by her children,  Donald M. Solesky  of Manchester, NH, Michael C. Solesky of Malden, Susan L. Solesky  of Melrose, and  Alan E. Solesky of Saugus,  her brother, John Cusson  of  NH,  as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin A. Solesky, her parents, George  L.  and Berthy (Wyman) Cusson, her children,  Richard Solesky and  Diane Solesky, her brothers Robert H. Cusson,  Rodney Cusson,  George Cusson, and Walter Cusson, and her  sisters Alice Babb and  Ruth Chryst,

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden,  on Monday, October. 5th,  from 4 - 8 PM

Funeral from the Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Tues,  Oct 6th, at 8AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church, Malden, at 9AM.  Rev. William J. Minigan, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church will be officiating.
