Veronica (Richards) Sullivan
Veronica
(Richards) Sullivan, 97, a longtime resident of Malden, died
Wed, May 4, at the Merrimac Valley Hospital in Haverhill,
Massachusetts.
She was born
in 1913 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Dickran and
Maude (Cooper) Richards. She spent part of her youth in Boston
before moving to Malden where she completed her education and
attended Malden High School. In 1942, she married William F.
Sullivan and the two settled down together in Malden. They
shared over 45 years together until Williams passing in 1988.
For many years Veronica worked in Malden Square as a Sales Clerk
for the Sparks Clothing Company. Veronica was a homebody who
appreciated her privacy. She did enjoy playing cards,
especially bridge, in years past. She also cherished spending
time with her family, especially her grandchildren. For many
years she would join the family for vacations at their
campground, even as she was into her 90’s.
She is
survived by her son, William A. Pollman of Merrimac, her
grandchildren, Mark Pollman , Lynn Dixon, Scott Pollman, and
Keith Pollman and many great , and great-great grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by her husband William, her parents, Dickran
and Maude (Cooper) Richards; and her siblings, Leslie V.
Richards and Paul Richards-Jackson.
Visitation
will be on Friday, May 6th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Graveside
interment services will be held on Tues, May 10th, at
11AM in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
