Theresa Cecilia Woolley - Locke Theresa Cecilia Woolley – Locke(Greer) , 90, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 the at Golden Living Center, Dexter House of Malden.. She was born in Fr. Wayne, Indiana , in1920, the daughter of Alfred and Edith C. (Costa) Greer. She moved to Malden at an early age where she was raised and educated. After graduating from Malden High School she attended the nursing program at Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, where she received her degree in Nursing. She also studied at Mt. Auburn hospital which helped her become an O.R. Technician. Theresa worked for over 50 years as a nurse, starting at at Malden Hospital for around 20 years, and then at Melrose Wakefield Hospital for about the next 30 years. Theresa loved dancing and was fond of attending dance clubs, and she also used to dance at the Wonderland Dance Hall. She was an avid bowler, and had been a member of many bowling leagues. Theresa also enjoyed traveling, and had been around the world. She is survived by her daughter, Rayanne Conway of Medford, her brothers, Alfred Greer Jr, of Hookset and Alvaro Greer of Framingham, her sister, Edith Smith of Lynnfield, her grandchildren, James, Theresa, Deborah, Rayanne, Raymond, Llorraine, Jennifer and Stephanie, as well as 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Llorraine D. Turk her brothers George Greer, Matthew Greer, and Ralph Greer, her sister Alfreda Heath and her granddaughter Danielle. Visitation will be at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Sunday, Oct 24th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM A memorial Mass will be held Monday, Oct 25, 2010 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
