Cornelia Adams
Cornelia Adams, 96, longtime resident of Malden, died Saturday, March 06, 2004
at Epoch Senior Care of Melrose in Melrose, Massachusetts. Cornelia was born and
raised in Wallington, NJ. After high school, she attended Drakes Business
College in Passaic NJ where she graduated with her Bachelors Degree. For many
years she worked as a secretary for Nabisco Foods. In 1932, she moved to Malden
with her husband Robert D. Adams, and she became an active member of the
community. She was a longtime active member of the First Congregational Church
in Malden. She was also a Life Member of Ladies Hospital Aid, at Malden Hospital
and active in the YWCA.
She is survived by her son Robert F. Adams of Malden,. She is also survived by
her grandchildren, Katrina Adams-Bartlett of KC, and John Adams of Belmont, as
well as one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Adams and her parents John
F. and Mary (Baker) Polmann and her sisters Marion Paduch and Mildred Frey, and
her brother Conelius Polman.
Funeral Services will be held graveside at the Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest
Street, Malden, on Thursday March 11th, at 1:30 P.M. Rev. Rebecca Girash of the
First Congregational Church in Malden will be officiating.
