Ruth Evelyn Adams, 88, died
Thursday evening, November 28, 2002 at her daughters home in
Wilmington, MA Mrs. Adams had lived with her daughter for the
last seven years and was previously from Malden and Melrose.
Ruth was a retired assembly line worker for Lawson Tool & Die
Co. in Malden for 40 years. Ruth retired in 1987. She was a
member of the First Church in Malden Congregational and later
with the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church. Ruth was an
avid ballroom dancer. She loved to sew and do all kinds of
crafts. She was fond of cooking and love to travel.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth A. Brunetta of
Wilmington, Marjorie A. O'Neill of Malden and Pauline E. Wilcox
of Tewksbury. Sister of Franklin Welch of Westwood, Warren Welch
of Waltham and Caroline Genson of CA, Also survived by 12
grandchildren & 35 great-grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Adams, her
father Edwin A. Welch, her mother Ruth C. Cree, her sister
Eleanor Coulter, her granddaughter Linda L. Zink and her
grandson Donald B. Adams Jr..
She was born April 1, 1914 in Malden, MA the daughter of Edwin
and Ruth (Cree) Welch.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral
Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Tuesday evening, Dec. 3rd. from
7-9 PM.
Contributions in Ruth's memory maybe made to the Alzheimer's
Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140-1102.
Graveside services will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park,
Peabody at a later date.
