Stephen Joseph Allegra

 

Stephen Joseph Allegra, 48, died suddenly on May 6th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA. He was born December 7, 1956 in Everett, the son of Joseph Allegra and Loretta Cutillo. Stephen graduated from Malden High School with class of 1973. After high school, he began his career as an automotive mechanic, working most recently for J & A Auto Works of Malden. Stephen was passionate about cars, especially model cars. He was a member of the MASCAR Model Club of Boston. Over the years, he won many awards for the model car replicas he created. For the past ten years, he ran the model exhibition at the World of Wheels show that is held annually at the Bayside Expo Center. Stephen was also currently restoring a 1970 Dodge Dart. He loved watching NASCAR, Drag Racing and Professional Wrestling.

He is survived by his wife Terri L. (Knox) of Malden, MA, his children, Stephen J. and his wife Jennifer of FL, James of Saugus, and Michelle and her fiancé Chuck of Malden, his father, Joseph Allegra of CA and his mother, Loretta Cutillo of FL and his grandchildren, Tyler Allegra and Callie Bryant of WA.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. MALDEN on Wednesday, May 11th from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12th at 10 AM. Fr. Vincent Gianni will be officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
