Amirault
Claire "Peachy" (Walsh) Amirault, 67, died Sunday, March 23,
2003 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Peachy was
born in Everett and educated in Malden schools. When she
completed high school she went to work for the Mass Electric Co.
on Pleasant Street in Malden as a secretary and was employed
there for over thirty years until her retirement in 2001. She
was a devoted mother to her children and was a member of Sacred
Heart Parish in Malden. Mrs. Amirault was a lifelong resident of
Malden, Massachusetts.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Amirault and his fiancé
Marisa Giuffre of Revere, her son, John A. Amirault, Jr. and his
fiancé Patricia Bailey of Tewksbury, her daughter, Christine C.
and her husband Thomas Tempesta of Methuen her sister, Sister
Alice Walsh, Sister of Providence, FL. and the late Ruth Parks,
Thomas Walsh, Theresa Shanahan, Jean Landry, Eileen Smith and
Doris Hatch. She was the proud grandmother of John J., Nicholas
A. & Jordan A. Amirault and is also survived by several nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Amirault, Sr.
of Malden, her sister Ruth Parks, her brother Thomas Walsh, her
sister Theresa Shanahan, her sister Jean Landry, her sister
Eileen Smith, and her sister Doris Hatch.
She was born April 29, 1935 in Everett, Massachusetts the
daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Jordan) Walsh.
Visitation will be held at the Weir Funeral Home, 144 Salem
Street, Malden on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 26,
2003 at 10:00 A.M. in Sacred Heart Church, 297 Main Street,
Malden with Fr. Daniel J. Hickey Pastor of Sacred Heart Church
officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in
Peabody.
