John Alfred Amirault
John Alfred Amirault, 69, a retired sergeant for the Malden
Police Department, died Saturday, November 24, 2001 at his home
in Malden, MA. John was born and educated in Malden and
graduated Malden High School with The Class of "49". He then
enlisted in the United States Air Force serving during the
Korean Conflict. In 1953 when he was discharged he received his
reserve appointment to the Malden Police Department as a
Patrolman and in 1955 received his appointment as a regular
patrolman. He served on the Malden Police Force for twenty-five
years and when he retired in 1978 he had attained the rank of
Sergeant. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden and
was a former member of the Everett Knights of Columbus. Mr.
Amirault was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.
He is survived by his wife Peachy B. (Walsh) Amirault of Malden,
his sons Michael A. Amirault of Revere and John A. Jr. Amirault
of Tewksbury, his daughter, Christine C. Tempesta of Methuen,
his brother, Patrick A. Amirault of ME, his sister, Harriett
Welch of TX, his brother Richard Amirault of Woburn and his
grandchildren John J., Nicholas A. and Jordan A. Amirault.
He was born October 19, 1932 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of
the late Enos and Margaret (Muise) Amirault.
Visitation will be held at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144
Salem St. Malden on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday,
November 28, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Hearts Church, 297
Main St. , Malden with the Rev. Francis E. Sullivan of Sacred
Hearts Church officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn
Memorial Park in Peabody. |
