Ronald Bruce Anderson

AKA  “Malden Ron  “

 

Ronald B. Anderson, 69, of Malden, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at Corey Hill Nursing Home in Brighton, MA.  He was the son of the late Cornelius and Arlene Anderson. Ron was born Malden and was a life long resident for the last sixty-nine years. He was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1953. After high school started   working for the City of Malden Department of Public Works and later became a foreman, working for  forty-one years, until he retired in 2002.

“Malden Ron” as he was known to many New York Football Giants fans in New England, founded the New York Giants Fan Club in the early 80’s . He supported the team through good times and bad, traveling to New Jersey to see his beloved team win or lose.

Ron is survived by his wife, Nancy J.  Anderson his daughter  Leah   L. Procito of Saugus, his step-daughters, Lynne    J. Sport  of Laurel, MD,  Laura    L. Sport  of Seattle, WA, and Lisa   J. Sport  of Malden and his cherished granddaughter  Isabella Marie Procito and his sister Glen Burke of Brookline. He will be missed by his family and his friends.

Visitation will be held at the Weir ~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Thursday, October 27th.  from 11-12 noon. A service of reflection of Ron’s life will take place immediately following the calling hour at noon.
