Michael Anthony Cipoletta, Sr.

Michael Anthony
Cipoletta of Malden, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at this home. He was 67.
Born on November 5, 1939 in Boston, he was the son of the late Michael Frank
Cipoletta and Esther (Lucontoni) Cipoletta.
He was raised
and educated in Boston. After high school he became a Laminator for Arthur
Blank and later worked for the American Window Cleaning Company of Somerville as
a window washer.
After he married
his childhood sweetheart, Rosemary Albino, he formed his own company, “Krystal
Klear Cleaning Company” and later changed the name to “Mike’s Window Cleaning
Company”. After he retired, his son took over.
Michael was an
avid stamp collector, enjoyed collecting statues and paintings of wolves, lions,
and eagles. He loved building things, constructed miniature dollhouse furniture
with his wife, and did his own carpentry. He was very artistic and painted in
oils and drew in charcoal in his free time.
Michael
was a great and loving husband, father and friend. Many people called him the
“Salt of the Earth”. He was involved with many volunteer youth groups in
Malden. Michael was the former President of the Central Little League, Manager
and Coach of several little league teams for many years, Director and teacher of
the Malden Jr. Chess club for over five years, and was the founder and chairman
of Troop 613 in Malden.
Michael is
survived by his wife of 42 years, Rosemary, his son Michael Anthony Jr. of
Haverhill, his son Mark of Malden, his daughter Michele of Malden, his sister
Grace Vitello of Danbury, New Hampshire, his brother Anthony Cipoletta of
Watertown, his uncle Fred Lucontoni of New Hampshire, his aunt Eleanor Lucontoni
of Malden, and his aunt Carmella of Woburn, as well as many nephews, nieces, and
cousins.
Funeral
from the Weir Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden, on Tues. Feb. 20th
at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main
St., Malden at 10AM.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 19th
from 4-8PM. Contributions in Mike's memory may be made to the American Heart
