Mary Lord Fletcher

   Mary Lord Fletcher,  89, a retired office clerk, died, suddenly, Thursday, November 30, 2000 at her home in Malden, MA.  Mary was born in Boston and educated in Malden schools and then graduated from the Burdett College in Boston. She then went to work for the New England Life Insurance Co. of Boston as a clerk. She was employed there for over 43 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Malden and a member of the choir for many years and also a member of OTT of Malden.  Miss Fletcher lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over 80 years.

 She is survived by her niece, Edith M. Shaw of Peabody, her nephew, Donald E. Shaw of Peabody and a nephew Paul H. Wedge of Peabody.

 She was preceded in death by her father John Fletcher, her mother Ann (Lord) Fletcher, and her sisters Edith Mullen, Doris Fletcher, and Ruth Butt.

 She was born October 26, 1911 in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late  John and Ann (Lord) Fletcher.     

 Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

 Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 4th at 10 AM at the Christ United Methodist, 577 Salem St., Malden with the Rev. Ruth R. Oduor, Pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn  Memorial Park in Peabody.
