Evelyn V.
(Franklin) Forbes, 83, died Thursday, June 9, 2005 at the
Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA Evelyn was born in
Boston, and educated in Reading. After her marriage to Arthur
E. Forbes, the couple settled in Malden where they raised their
daughter. Following Arthur’s death in 1973, she moved to
Mississippi for ten years, and then to New Hampshire before
returning to Malden. Upon her return, she was employed with the
ABC Security in Malden, as a security guard for the next
twenty years and continued working later with other firms in the
area. She was also the supervisor of 120 Salem St. for many
years. She was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the American
Legion in Malden for many years. Evelyn enjoyed knitting &
cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren, while
helping her granddaughter Lisa with her family.
She is
survived by her brother Richard Franklin of Texas,her sister,
Betty-Jean Lindsey of Charlestown, her
grandchildren, Chris Boule, David Lindsey, Lisa Boule, and
great-grandchildren, Brittany Hoyt, Joshua Fraser, Raine
Lindsey.
She was
preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Forbes, her father
Benjamin Franklin and her mother Aleda Ainsley, and her daughter
Maryann Boule.
At the request
of the family visiting hours have been omitted.
Friends and
relatives are invited to a memorial services on Friday, June 17,
2005 at 11AM in the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144
Salem St. Malden. The Rev. Paul McPheeters of the Forest Dale
Community Church will be officiating.
