Stanley James Forti
Stanley J. Forti died Sunday, June 27, 2004 after a long
illness. He was 70 years old.
A lifelong resident of Malden, Stanley was active in the Sacred Hearts
Drum and Bugle core as a young man. After
completing school, he worked for ten years as a sheet metal fabricator for
Tangers Sheet Metal Company. He
later worked as a supervisor for over twenty years at the Van Deusan aviation
fueling company at Logan international airport in Boston.
Prior to his retirement in 1995, Stanley worked as a maintenance engineer
for the Saugus school department for nine years.
He loved gardening, carpentry and woodworking and spent many hours over
the years renovating his family home, as well as assisting family and friends
with their renovation projects. Stan
was an extremely hard worker, had a great sense of humor and was loved by all
that knew him. Above all, he was a
devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne, his daughter Claudette
J. Toro, and her husband Robert
Toro of N. Revere, his son, Matthew
J. Forti, and his wife Kathie Forti of Billerica, his daughter Bernadette M. Forti, and partner Susan
Campbell, his son Andrew T. Forti, and his husband Rick Espinola, his grandson
Matthew C. Forti, his
granddaughters Megan K. Forti
and Michelle K. Forti all of
Billerica.
He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Forti, his
mother Myrtle Duggan, and his sister Joan E.
Faieta.
He was born November 13, 1933 in Malden, MA
the son of the late Anthony and Myrtle (Duggan) Forti.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday
from 4-8 PM
Funeral from the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home,
144 Salem St,.Malden, on Thurs,
July 1st., at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church,
770 Salem St., Malden, at 10AM.
Interment in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
