Carmello "Charles" Forti

 

 

 

Carmello "Charles"  Forti,  88, a retired machinist for General Electric, where he worked for 30 years, died Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose.  Charles was born November 22, 1912 in Boston, the son of John and Madeline (Bonfiglio) Forti.  He was raised and educated  in Boston.  He worked for many years as a general contractor, before going to work for General Electric as a machinist. 

He was a member of  St. Josephs Parish, and a member of the Revere ITAM. 

He is survived by  his daughter, Janine Donald of Malden, grandchildren  D. Scott Donald of Malden and  Janet Donald  of Saugus, and great grandchildren Nicholas Puleio, and Samantha Puleio  of Saugus.

He was preceded in death by his wife Janet, his father John Forti, and his mother Madeline Bonfiglio.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2001 at  9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church. Father Richard T. Bakker of St. Joseph's Church will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
