Wallace Clough Fuglestad

Wallace Clough Fuglestad,  91, died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the Stonehedge Convalescent Center in West Roxbury, MA. Wallace was born in Malden and educated in Everett graduating from Everett High School in 1931.  He then went on to Tufts College and received his Associates Certificate in Mechanical Drawing. He then went to work at Draper Labs at MIT in Cambridge as a mechanical draftsman where he worked for over twenty-five years before retiring in 1976.  He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Malden.  He belonged to Converse Lodge AF&AM in Malden, Royal Arch Chapter of the Tabernacle, VASA Order of America, Three Crown Lodge in Lynn, MA. He   also worked at Jackson and Moreland in Boston and MIT in Cambridge. Mr. Fuglestad had lived in Malden, MA for over fifty years before moving to West Roxbury two years ago.

He is survived by grandchildren; Mark R. Fuglestad of Medfield, Lori H. Fuglestad of FL, Kristen L. Freeman of Franklin and Eric D. Fuglestad of Medway.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Svea A. (Johnson) Fuglestad, his son Richard W. Fuglestad, his brother John A. Fuglestad, his sister Ruth T. Fugelstad, and his grandson Glen S Fuglestad.

He was born August 8, 1911 in Malden, MA. the son of the late John A. and Beatrice (Clough) Fuglestad.     

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Thursday Jan. 2nd from 3-7 PM

Contributions in Wallace’s memory may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Lutheran Church, 62 Church Street, Malden, MA 02148

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church of Malden. with the Rev. James W. Knowles Pastor of the First Lutheran Church officiating.  Cremation will follow in the Woodlawn Crematory in Everett.
