Louis Philip Gagnon

 

Louis Philip Gagnon,  62, longtime resident of Malden, died Tuesday, July 06, 2004 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose.  "Phil" was born and raised in Maine.  He graduated from Brunswick High School with the class of 1960.  A few years later, he took employment with the Coca Cola Company as a distributor.  He remained with the company until his retirement in 2003.  In 1969, Phil married his sweetheart Carolyn Welch. The two settled in Malden to raise a family, and have remained here since then.

Phil was a long time member of the East Side Athletic Association, and was an avid collector of Coca Cola Memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife.  Carolyn (Welch) Gagnon of Malden, his mother,  Mary (Marcin) Gagnon of Weymouth, his daughter  Jessica L. Gagnon of Malden, his son Mark L. Gagnon  of Malden, and his sisters, Nancy L. Kolling of RI, and  Frances L. Gagnon of Quincy, MA.

He was preceded in death by his father,  Louis P. Gagnon.

He was born January 16, 1942 in Lewiston, Maine the son of Louis and Mary (Marcin) Gagnon.  

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. 

In Liu of Flowers, contributions  may be made to YMCA Building Fund, 83 Pleasant Street, Malden, 02148.  

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 9, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home.   Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
