Warrren C. Gertz Jr.

Warrren C. Gertz, Jr., 75, died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at his home in Malden, MA.  He was born November 4, 1929, in Billerica, MA, the son of the late Warren C. and Margaret (Boyland) Gertz, Sr.   After he graduated from Everett High School, Warren enlisted with the Navy on March 29, 1948 at Boston, MA and served during the Korean Conflict having attained the rank of AD3. He was discharged on March 28, 1952 at San Diego, CA. Upon his return home, he married Adele E. Nicholson, his wife of 52 years, on March 28, 1953. Warren worked as an automotive spray-painter for many various body shops in and around Malden. He was a life-member of the VFW Post #2346 of Saugus.  

He is survived by his wife, Adele E. Gertz of Malden, his sons, Edward Gertz and his wife Valerie of Malden,  and Kenneth Gertz of Malden, his daughter-in-law, Karen Gertz of Middleton,  his sister Ethel Milley of North Reading, and his granddaughter, Kerri Gertz of Malden. . He was preceded in death by his son Martin Gertz of Middleton.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden  on Monday, May 9th from 6 - 8 PM followed by a funeral service at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Rev. Ruth Oduor will be officiating.  Cremation will be in the Woodlawn Crematory in Everett. Donations in Warren's memory may be made to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Road. Malden, MA 02148.
