Frank Carman Giuffre

 

         Frank C. Giuffre, 80, died suddenly on Friday   January 26, 2007 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.  Frank was born on April 4, 1926 in East Boston son of the late Carmello & Josephine (Coyle) Giuffre.

         Frank was educated in the East Boston school system and after his schooling; Frank worked for the former R & S Insurance Company in Dorchester for 21 years as a Liner type Operator.  He later went on, and worked as a custodian for the Lexington, MA School Department, at the Diamond School for 25 years until his retirement.  Frank was a longtime member of the St. Josephs Church, Malden and could be seen at the daily, 9 AM Mass.  Frank was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and had been a long time resident of Malden. He had just moved down to Georgia to be with the rest of his family. 

           He is survived by his wife, Eleanor M. (Sweeney) Giuffre of Acworth, GA, his brother in-law Lawrence D. Sweeney and his wife LyLy of Acworth, GA, and his niece Katherine F. Sweeney of Canton, GA.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 30th. from 2-4  only.

          Frank’s funeral will be held from the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Wednesday, January 31st at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, at 11AM. Fr. Richard T. Bakker will be celebrant.  Burial will follow in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
