William Golini

 

William  Golini,   a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose.  William was born and raised in Everett.    Soon after high school, he took employment with the Hammonds School Supply Company.  He worked there for many years as a furniture finisher.   He left that company to take employment with the BASF audio company.  William worked there until his retirement in 1981.  

In 1948, William married his sweetheart, Antonetta L. DeAngelis.  The two settled in Everett and began raising their daughter.  In 1974, they moved to Malden from Everett.  William and Antonetta shared over 57 years together until Antonetta's passing less than two years ago. 

William was a skilled woodworker, and even after leaving the school supply company, he still enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.  He also was an avid reader, and enjoyed settling down to watch a good Western movie. . 

He is survived by his daughter, Marie G. Golini,  of Yonkers,  NY, and his brother,  Irving Golini  of Wakefield.

He was preceded in death by his wife Antonetta L.(DeAngelis), his parents,  Pasquale and Maria (Valeria) Golini, and  his brothers, Thomas, Anthony, and Olivio Golini.

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden,  on Sunday, April 29th,  from 4-8 PM

Funeral services will be held  from the Weir~Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144  Salem St. Malden,  on  Monday, April 30th, at 8AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, Malden, at 9AM.  Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
