Olga Greeley

     Olga (Halchuck) Greeley died suddenly Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, she was 77.  Born on November 13, 1928 in Malden, Olga was the daughter of Thomas and Dora (Tuskebick) Halchuck.  She was a graduate of Malden High School with the Class of 1946.  After school she married Louis N. Greeley and the couple settled in Everett to raise their family.  Olga worked most of her life raising her family, but in 1987 she took employment with the Delta Letter Drop Co. as a mail handler until she eventually retired in 1999.  Olga lived in Wakefield for the past four months but was previously from Everett.

     She is survived by her children, Paul Greeley of Lynn, Michael and his wife Linda Greeley of Chelsea, Catherine and her husband Vincent Calderone of Wakefield, Stephen Greeley of Chelsea, John and his wife Melissa Greeley of Medford, and Jeanne Greeley of Lakeland, FL, her sister, Dorothy Rutledge of Malden, her 10 grandchildren, Lisa Twist of ME, Christine Festa of Medford, Vincent Calderone, Jr, Michael, Nicholas, and Daria Calderone, all of Wakefield, Kayla Greeley of Medford, Olivia and Julian Greeley, both of Chelsea, and Julia Greeley of FL as well as one great-granddaughter, Emily Festa of Medford.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Joseph Halchuck.

Visitation will be held at the Weir~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Thursday, February 23, 2006 from 4-8 PM.

     A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 10:30 AM.  Fr. John T. Bacon, Pastor of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Chelsea will be the celebrant.  Burial will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
