Ruby Frances Grenon
Ruby Frances( Mills) Grenon, 94, a machinist
for Pratt & Whitney, where she worked for
20 years, died Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Groton Regency Center,
Groton, CT Ruby was born in
Gloucester, MA. She later settled in Medford,
MA and lived there for 35 years. Mrs. Grenon worked at the American
Optical Co. in East Boston for 15
years. She later worked for the Pratt & Whitney Air Craft Engines in
Hartford, CT. Mrs. Grenon had lived
in Groton and Hartford, CT for the
last 20 years. Ruby was an avid bingo player and loved her grandchildren &
great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Clifford J.
and his wife Barbara L. Thompson
of Yarmouthport, MA, her
brother Ernest Mills of Hampton, NH, she was the
grandmother of Karen Duffy
of Providence, RI,
Linda Hoffman of Nashua, NH, Debra
Shanahan of Chelmsford, and
Clifford J. Thompson Jr. of
Clinton, MA. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
Mrs. Grenon was preceded in death by her husband Orie H.
Grenon, her father Ruben Mills, and her mother Laurell McKay.
She was born November 8, 1906 in Gloucester, MA the
daughter of the late Ruben and Laurell (McKay) Mills.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule
Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Wednesday, Oct. 31st. from 2-4 &
7-9.
Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home on
Thursday morning, November 1st., at 10AM. A graveside services will be held at
11AM at Oak Grove Cemetery,
Medford. The Rev. Paul C. Mc
Pheeters will be officiating.
