Frances Ann Hagen
Frances Ann Hagen, 54, of
Malden, formerly of Melrose, died Monday, May 9, at her home in Malden. Frances
was born in Everett, and raised in the Wakefield area. She had moved to Maine
when she was a teenager, and graduated from Old Orchard High School with the
class of 1968. Shortly after her graduation, she took employment with the
Continental Insurance Company. She remained with the company for over 30 years,
and when she retired she had been a Regional Manager for the company.
Frances was an avid bingo
player, and had been a number caller for many years. She was also an
enthusiastic Boston sports fan, supporting all the local team, with a special
fondness for Bobby Orr and the Bruins. She was also a kind hearted person who
enjoyed playing scrabble and trivia games with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother
Dorothy M. Hagen of Malden, her sister Nancy M. George of Melrose, her
brother, John D. Hagen of Malden, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces,
and grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her father John Hagen, and her sister Gloria M. Peck.
Visitation will be held at
Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Sunday, May 15th,
from 4-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held
Monday, May 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev Martha
Dominy of the First Baptist Church of Malden will be officiating. Burial will be in
the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
