Daniel Ronald Halloran

Daniel Ronald Halloran,  62, died Thursday  morning, March 25, 2004 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA.  Dan was born in Malden and educated in the St. Joseph’s School and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High with the Class of 1960, where he set records as part of the  Track Team. His nickname when he played football at Malden Catholic was " Mighty Mite“, and was the starting runningback for 3 championship football teams. He was an inspector for the General Electric Co. in Everett for twentyfive years,  working the last five years in Lynn, Dan retired in 1999.  He had a degree from University of Massachusetts in Business Administration. He was a fan of all the Boston sports teams and loved camping at the Pine Acres Campground in Raymond, NH.  He was a very creative writer who composed poems and short stories.  He was a lifetime  member of the Malden  DAV and a lifetime member of the Saugus VFW Post # 2346.  Mr. Halloran lived in Everett  for twenty years and was previously from Malden.

He is survived by his wife Arlene (Wood)  of Everett, his children  Keri   M. Halloran of Medford, Daniel   R. Halloran  Jr.  of Malden, Dara   G. Halloran of Everett, Shayna   L. Halloran  of Everett, Michael Theriault of Everett, Anthony Theriaultf Everett, his brothers  John Halloran  of Wareham, Michael Halloran  of Everett,  Gary Halloran  of Malden, and  Jeffery Halloran  of Everett, and 8  Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father John and  Madeline (Monahan) Halloran.,

He was born January 27, 1942 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of the late John and Madeline (Monahan) Halloran.  He served in Vietnam with the US Army. 

Funeral Services will be held at the Weir - Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Monday, March 19th at 10 AM.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 28th from 4- 8 PM.
