Alexandra M Haney-Kelly

 

Alexandra M Haney-Kelly,  65, of Reading,  died Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Sunrise Assisted Living of Lynnfield.  Alexandra was born in Malden in Sept. of 1942.  She was born while her father Ralph was overseas in Europe fighting in WWII.  She was able to see her father for the first time when she was a year old.  Alex  was raised in Malden and attended the Malden Schools.   Soon after high school, she began a courtship with Joseph P. Haney Jr.  The two married in Sept of 1966, and settled down in Reading to raise their family.  They shared nearly 25 years together until Joe's passing in 1991.  A few year later, Alex fell for Thomas Kelley of Somerville and they were married in 1998..  They enjoyed traveling together and shared many enjoyable years until Thomas passed away in 2002

Ales had been a past member of the Jr. Aide Society of Malden.  Although her son's liked to call her an  "International Lady of Leisure" she was actually an attentive caregiver who enjoyed watching her grandchildren, and giving assistance to her parents as they needed it. 

She is survived by her sons,  Paul Haney III of Exeter, NH, Sean F. Haney  of Andover, MA, her father, Ralph  W. Kenty  of Malden, her nieces, , J., Jessica  L. Kenty-Drane  of Woodbridge, CT, and Kate E. Kenty of Revere, as well as six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first  husband Joseph P Kenty, her second husband, Thomas Kelly, her mother Arline (Norton) Kenty, and her brother Ralph F. Kenty,

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden,  on Monday, Dec 10th,  from 4-8 PM.

Funeral services will be held from the Weir Funeral Home on Tues, Dec 11th, at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church 168 Woburn St, Reading, at 10:30AM.  Interment to follow in Forest Glen Cemtery, Reading.
