Dorothy Shirley Henneberry

Dorothy Shirley Henneberry, 81, died Thursday, September 27, 2001 at the Epoch Senior Care Center in Melrose, MA.  Dorothy was born in Melrose and educated in Malden schools  and a member of Malden High Class of 1938  Dorothy was a Bank Clerk for the former First National Bank of Malden where she was employed for fifteen years. Dorothy later worked for the N.E. Coffee Co. of Malden, as a Clerical Office worker for ten years and retired in 1994. Dorothy’s whole life was devoted to her three children and five grandchildren. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. Mrs. Henneberry was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.

She is survived by her son, Edward  C. and his wife Kathleen Henneberry  of Peabody, MA, her son Thomas R.  and his wife Karen Henneberry of Revere, MA,and her daughter, Claire K. Blackmore of Everett, MA and her grandchildren Robert Blackmore, Thomas & Adam Henneberry, Kara De Nutte and Kate Henneberry.

She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Henneberry

She was born November 23, 1919 in Melrose, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Henry Bogdonoff and Gladys Ireland and raised by Charles and Carrie Hunt of Malden.

Visitation will be held at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM

The family has requested that contributions in Dorothy’s memory be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children   at 51 Blossom St.  Boston, MA  02114

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 1, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden  with the Rev. John A. Daley, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church officiating..  Cremation will follow in the Woodlawn Crematory in Everett.
