Marilyn Shirley Huggins
Marilyn S. Huggins died Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center after a long illness, she was 53. Born on May 26, 1952, she was
the daughter of Shirley and the late Arthur W. Huggins, Jr. Marilyn attended
Malden High School and was a very active student. She was a member of the Drama
Club as well as involved with many other activities. After she graduated from
Malden High School with the Class of 1970, she went on to attend UMass Boston
where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Science. Marilyn became a real estate
specialist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department of the Interior. She was a
member of the Woodmen of the World, meeting in Medford. She also was very
active with the Arthritis Foundation in Newton. Marilyn was an avid music lover
and loved going to concerts. She also enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts, and
reading. Marilyn had a knack for computers and technology. She was a life-long
resident of Malden.
She
is survived by her mother Shirley Huggins of Malden, her sister, Judith and her
husband John Spirito of Malden, and her aunts and uncles, Elsie Hilfiger of
Brockton, Rev. Edwin Lindquist and his wife Roberta of Woburn, and John and Jean
Smith of Florida. She is also survived by many cousins.
She was preceded in death by
her uncle Robert Hilfiger and William and his wife Shirley Durie.
Visitation will be held at the
Weir~ MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Thursday,
October 6, 2005 from 4-8 PM.
A
funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 7, 2005 at
10AM. Rev. Edwin Lindquist will be officiating the service. Burial will
immediately follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Contributions in
Marilyn’s name may be made to the Arthritis Foundation Inc., 29 Crafts St.,
