Marcia Ruth (Graham) Leary Gray, 60, of Melrose, passed away in the presence of her loving
family in her home on Saturday,
July 05. Marcia was born and
educated in Malden graduating Malden High School with the "Class of
1960". She worked as an administrative assistant for Commercial
Union and the Strauss Insurance Co ob Boston for fifteen years.
She then went to work for the Melrose YMCA where she was the administrator
of the baby sitting program at the Y for over ten years and
then became a receptionist for Community Action Agency of Somerville until
having to retire because of her poor health. She was a lifetime member of
St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Malden and a perennial star of the Annual
Variety Shows. She was also an avid reader and was a creative influence on
many through her music and appreciation of art.
Mrs. Gray lived in Melrose, Massachusetts for thirty two years and
was previously from Malden.
She is survived by her husband Roy
W. Gray of Melrose, MA, her son Christopher
J. Leary and his wife Heather of Melrose,
her daughters, Autumn R.N. Phaneuf, and her husband Marc of Melrose and
Nicole
J. Gray of Melrose, and her granddaughters,
Tyler & Paige Leary of
Melrose.
She was preceded in death by her father James
Graham, her mother Ruth Hammond, and her sister Jean Costello.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at St.
Luke's Episcopal Church, 388 Lynn
Street, Malden at 11:00 AM.
Rev. Dr. Charles Moore, Jr. of St. Luke's will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
