Obituary Notice
Urmah Ruth Jamerson
Urmah Ruth Jamerson, 81,
of Malden, formerly of Everett, died Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Whidden
Memorial Hospital in Everett, Massachusetts. Urmah was born in Revere, and had moved to Everett by the age
of 16. She graduated from Everett H.S. with the class of 1941.
In 1943, she married her husband James R. Jamerson, while he was
stationed in Boston during WWII. The
two settled in Everett, and raised their childen in the very home that Urmah was
raised in.
After the children had grown, Urmah took employment with
the J. Lester McLaughlin Plumbing Co, as a means to keep herself busy.
She worked as a secretary in their Everett office for about ten years
until her retirement.
Urmah was an active member of the Centre United Methodist
Church in Malden, and was a member of Robinsons Circle, the women’s guild
within the church. She was a loving
dedicted mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren, and
greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Jamerson
lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 1 1/2 year and was previously from Everett.
She is survived by her huusband, James
R. Jamerson of Malden, MA, her daughters, Charlene Allen of
Ohio, and Jean M. Oxford of Melrose,
her sons, James R. Jamerson
Jr. of Wilmington, William C. Jamerson of Indiana, John C. Jamerson of Wilmington, Thomas P. Jamerson
of Georgetown, her brothers Charles Murray of Royalston, and Richard Murray of Niagra Falls, NY, as well
15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary
(Lavery) Murray, and her brother Robert Murray.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28,
2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden. Rev.
Ruth R. Oduor of Christ United Methodist Church of Malden will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation will be
held at funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 - 10-:00 AM
