Joan A. Ruggiero

Joan A. Ruggiero, 61, a retired investigator, died Sat., Oct. 7th, after a lengthily illness at  the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA  Joan was born in Cambridge, MA and educated in Malden Schools graduating with the class of 1956. When she graduated she became a hairdresser for the Crystal Beauty Saloon of Wakefield before going to work for the federal government as an investigator for the Interstate Commerce Commission until her retirement in 1988. After her retirement she worked as an administrative assistant for the Hughes Co. of Melrose until 1997.  Joan had moved to Tewksbury, MA.last years after residing in Malden for over fifty years.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary A. Mc Geoghegan of Billerica, Rose L. Ruggiero-Suslowicz  and her brother Anthony Addario, Jr. of Saugus.

She was born February 09, 1939 in Cambridge, MA. the daughter of  the late Anthony and Mary (Galenian) Addario, Sr..     

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Weds., October 11th a 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden with the Rev. John A. Day Pastor of St. Joseph's Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
