David Paul Johns

David Paul Johns,  52, a retired technician for New England Telephone, Co., where he worked for 32 years, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at his home in Saugus, MA  He was born and educated in Malden graduating  from  Malden High School.  He then went to work for the New England Telephone as a technician and was employed there for 32 years until his retirement five years ago. He then went to work for the Bellevue Country Club of  Melrose as a maintenance technician and was still employed there at the time of his death. He was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneer's Club and Parent's Without Partners of Billerica. and was an avid dancer.  Mr. Johns lived in Saugus, MA for 5 Years and was previously from  Melrose.

He is survived by his  daughter   Lauren S. Johns  of Melrose, and his mother  Harriet   B. Johns-Talbot  of Malden and his sister Geraldine Rooney-Vance Loudon,  NH.

He was preceded in death by his late father Curtis Johns, his brothers Curtis "Woody" Johns, and Russell W. Johns.

He was born September 11, 1948 in Brookline, MA  the son of Curtis and Harriet (Fowler) Johns-Talbot.    

Visitation will be held at Weir- MacCuish Funeral Home 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home with the Rev. Martha A. Dominy of  First Baptist Church,  will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn  Memorial Park in Peabody.
