Agnes L. Johnson
Agnes L. (Blanchard) Johnson, 70, died Monday, June 28, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield
Hospital, Melrose, MA after a
long illness. Mrs. Johnson had been
a resident of Malden for the last sixteen years and
was previously from Medford
and South Boston. Agnes was born and educated in Boston
and after completing her education, she later married Richard B. Johnson
Sr. in July of 1952. She worked for the Bristol Linen of Boston for over twenty
years and when she moved to Malden she worked for A.R.L. Company for six years.
Agnes loved playing bingo at the different halls in the Malden area and
also loved her trips to Foxwoods and Atlantic City with her husband. She spend
her spare time crocheting and
caring for her dog Sabrina that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda
M. Csiti, and her husband John of Hooksett,
NH Cheryl L.
Johnson-Ellen, and her husband Dwayne
of Haverhill, her son, Richard
B. Johnson Jr. of
Malden and her sisters, Marie Connell of
Randolph, Irene Guirdara of
Beverly, her thirteen grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren. She was also survived by
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard B. Johnson
Sr., her father Adolph Blanchard, and her mother Alice L. Southworth and her
brother Julius Pierson.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday,
July 1st. from 4-8
PM.
Funeral service will be held on Friday,
July 2, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the Weir
-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden.
Fr. Richard Bakker of St. Josephs Church will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
