Margaret Johnson
Margaret Johnson,
84, died Wednesday evening, March 17, 2004 at the New England Medical
Center in Boston after a long illness. Mrs.
Johnson had lived in Everett for the last sixty
years and was previously from East Boston. Margaret worked as department
manager with the Sears & Roebucks
Store in Saugus for many years
and in later years she cared for her grandchildren and other family members. She loved cooking and
caring for her entire family and
cherished playing cards and games with her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. Margaret was
married to James F. Johnson and the
couple spent forty-eight years
together until his passing in March
of 1990.
She is survived by her
daughter Carol E. Costa of Everett,
her sister, Marion Amato of Malden, her grandchildren, Kelly
Costa of Everett, Denise Iacoviello of Lynnfield, Mark & Brian
Johnson both of NH,
and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Johnson,
her father John Misiano, her mother Mary Barbanti, her son,
James P. Johnson, her brothers Anthony &
Dominic Misiano, her sister, Josie Venuto.
She was born August 13, 1919 in Boston, MA the daughter of
the late John and Mary (Barbanti)
Misiano.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule
Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden, on Sunday from 4-7PM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the
Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, Everett , on Monday, March 22nd at
10AM. Fr. Gerald Osterman will be the celebrant. Interment in Holy
Cross Cemetery, Malden.
