Mary Karigianis

Mary (Lambroukas) Karigianis,  90, died suddenly, Saturday, February 8, 2003 at the New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.  Mary was born in Woburn and educated in Lowell schools. When she completed school she married and settled in Malden over 60 years ago. She was employed as a stitcher in the shoe industry for many years until her retirement in 1982. She also worked as an interpreter for Greek immigrants in the  greater Boston area. She was a member of the St. George's Greek Orthodox Church of Lynn and the 630 Club of Malden, She was also an avid crocheter and would donate her afghans to local area nursing homes. 

She is survived by her son, Stephen E. and his wife Rose Marie Karigianis of Malden, , and her grandson Michael P. Karigianis, U.S. Marine Corp, her granddaughter,  Jennifer M. Karigianis of Malden and several nieces and nephews. .

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Karigianis and her son Charles E. Karigianis of Malden.

She was born December 27, 1912 in Woburn, Massachusetts the daughter of thew late George and Penelope (Elioupolous) Lambroukas.     

Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. in St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, 54 South Common Street, Lynn with Father George Tsoukalas of St. George's Greek Orthodox Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
