David Samuel Keddy
United States Air Force (ret.)

David S. Keddy, died Friday
morning September 28, 2007 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA he
was 68. Born on October 26, 1938 the son of the late Gordon & Margaret (Rundle)
Keddy. David was born in Boston and raised and educated in Malden. David lived
in Alabama for many years and was formerly from Malden.
After
his schooling David enlisted in the United States Air Force and would serve his
country for the next twenty years. He served as an Administrative Specialist at
the Hickman Air Force Base, Hawaii with the 1957th. AACS Group
(MATS) and later at the Bolling Air Force Base, DC with the 1123 Specialist.
Squad –Headquarters Command USAF and was promoted to Administrative Supervisor
and served with the 3843rd Computer Services Squad at the Maxwell
Air Force Base in Alabama. David served from March 11, 1957 to March 31, 1977
retiring as a Technical Sergeant E6. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the
AFLSA w/1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, GCM w/2 Bronze Loops, AFGCM w/3 Oak Leaf
Clusters and AFLSA w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters. David enjoyed in his spare time a good
game of golf and was an avid New England Patriots fans for years.
He is
survived by his four sisters, Kay Vining of Malden, Gerry Montgomery of New
York, Sally Keddy of Malden, Dorothy Robinson of Saugus, and his brother Donald
Keddy of Malden. He was the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews, grand
nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by
his father Gordon Keddy, his mother Margaret Rundle, his sisters Mary Smith, Barbara Di
Scipio, and his brother Chester Keddy.
Visitation will be held at
Weir~ MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday,
October 1, 2007 from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family
has requested contributions in David’s memory may be made to the American Cancer
Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, October 2, 2007 at 11:00 A.M.
at the Weir ~ MacCuish Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul McPheeters of Forestdale
Community Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts
National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 PM.
