Dorothy May
Kelley
Dorothy M. (Ford) Kelley, 95, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Courtyard
Nursing Care Center in Medford. Dorothy was born in Cambridge and
educated in the Malden schools and was a graduate of Malden High
School Class of 1929. After high school she attended Northfield
Academy, Northfield for two years. Dot later started working for
National Radio and later with Automatic Radio in Melrose as an
accountant for 25 years and retired in 1992.
Dot
was an avid Boston sports fan and her close friend and co-worker of
many years Virginia Ruane said that Dot was a very charitable person
to different organizations in the Malden area. She had been a life
long resident of Malden and a longtime member of the St. Paul’s
Episcopal Church, Malden.
She
is survived by her son William J. Kelley II of Belchertown, her
grandson Dana R. Kelley of Belchertown.
She
was preceded in death by her husband Francis P. Kelley, her father
Arthur Ford, her mother Elizabeth French, her sister Elizabeth
Knott, her brothers Burt, Frank, Frederick Ford and her
daughter-in-law Ruth S. Kelley.
She
was born March 29, 1910 in Cambridge, MA the daughter of late Arthur
and Elizabeth (French) Ford.
Visiting hours have been omitted.
A
graveside service will be held on Monday May 9th. at 11
AM in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. The Rev. Randell Farrara
will be officiating.
