Eunice Mariam Knollin
Eunice M. Knollin, 97, died Friday afternoon, November 17, 2006 at
Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, she was 97. Born on July 15, 1909 she
was the daughter of the late William E. & Helen (Giles) Knollin formerly of
Malden. Ms Knollin was a life long resident of Malden and was educated in the
Malden School System.
Eunice worked for the former Malden Savings Bank as a bank teller and later with
the loan department; she retired after thirty-two years of loyal service.
Eunice was a life long member of the former Christ United Methodist Church and
later called the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Malden. She was a
longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a Past Matron and
the Methodist Ladies Group. Eunice had a fond love for swimming at the YMCA,
she also loved traveling, gardening in her back yard and spending many summers
in Maine with her loving friend Betty Graham.
She is survived by her
nephew, Stephen F. Willcox and his wife Linda of Raleigh, NC, her niece,
Patricia A. Townsend of Melbourne, FL and her four grandnieces and one
grandnephew. Her loving friend Betty Graham of Malden and her neighbor Marcia
Elliott of Malden and her loving grandchildren great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be
held in the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 577 Salem St., Malden, Monday
Nov. 20th. at 1 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to calling
hours at the church on Monday from 12 noon to 1 PM. Interment in Forest Dale
Cemetery, Malden, at a later date. Contributions in Eunice’s memory maybe made to
the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 577 Salem St., Malden,
MA 02148.
