Elsie E. Latham Elsie E. Latham, 84, of Malden, died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Elsie was born in Cambridge, and moved to Malden at an early age, where she was raised and educated. In September of 1939, she married her sweetheart, Calder B. Latham, and the two would share the next 52 years together, until his passing in 1991. Elsie was a long time member of the Maplewood Baptist Church, a past member of Rebecca's Lodge, and a past member of the Viking Club in Quincy. She is survived by her sons Calder B. Latham Jr.
of Maine, John Latham of
Melrose, MA, William E. Latham of
Malden, MA, and Elvira E. Latham of Malden, MA. She was preceded in death by her husband Calder B. Sr., her
parents John and Sigrid (Lindquist)
Mattsen, and her brother John Mattsen. Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Tuesday, Dec 16th, from 5- 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 9:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. |
