Lorraine Mary Lawler

Lorraine Mary Lawler,  71,  died Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA. Lorraine was born and educated in Malden and after completing high school was employed as a secretary for the Mass Electric Co. of Malden . It was after her marriage that she went to work for the Malden School Department as a teacher’s aide and cafeteria worker. She was also employed by Intercity Homemakers, caring for the elderly in their homes. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and enjoyed square dancing being a member of the Broadway Twirlers of Malden.  Mrs. Lawler was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Mu’uri of Finland, her son, Stephan C. Lawler  of Malden, her son Peter C. Lawler of Peabody, her son, John C. Lawler of Malden, her daughter Mary Ellen Lawler of Middleboro,  her daughter, Kathleen L. Walsh of Malden, her brother, Gerald Meuse of FL, his sister, Janice Leonard of N. Reading and her brother, Richard Meuse of Melrose. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Lawler,  and her brothers Donald Meuse, and Wilfred Meuse.

She was born August 18, 1929 in Malden, MA the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothea (Johnson) Meuse-Doherty

Visitation will be held at the Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Funeral from the Weir – Mac Cuish Funeral Home on Sat., Feb 10th, at  8:00 A.M followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church. 600 Pleasant St. Malden at 9:00 A.M with Father Richard J. Mehm, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
