Sandra Lawler

Sandra  Lawler,  49, a longtime resident of Malden, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at  at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.  Sandra was born and raised in Jackson, KY.  She graduated from Breathitt County H. S., and then attended Lee's Jr. College in Jackson. 

In March of 1977, Sandra and Stephan Lawler were married, first in a ceremony in her hometown, then again in Malden, where there marriage was blessed by the Catholic Church.  Sandra and Stephan settled in Malden where they raised their three children.   Sandra had worked for many years at the Mansion Retirement Home  in Malden as the Food Service  Supervisor.  In her quite time, Sandra enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband Stephan C. Lawler of Malden, MA, her children April M. and her husband, Nelson Faria of Cambridge, Charles E. Lawler of Malden, and Mark E. Lawler of Malden, her mother,  Lena Mae Holbrook of KY, her sisters,  Carol Fugate and husband Al of KY, Janet Minix and husband Willie Johnson of KY, Neva Collinsworth of KY, and  Kathy Wolfe of KY, her brothers, Clyde and wife Debbie Holbrook of  IN,  Carl Holbrook of AL, Phillip Holbrook  of KY, and George Holbrook  of KY, her in-laws, of Barbara and her husband, Aunti Murri of Finland, Peter Lawler and his wife, Gail of Georgetown, John C. Lawler and his wife, Claire of Malden, Maryellen and her husband, Michael Walker of Middleboro, and Kathleen Walsh of Malden, as well as 26 nieces and nephews, and 22 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Hager Holbrook formerly of KY. 

Funeral services will be held from the Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday, Oct 23rd  at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral service in the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden at 10:30 AM.    Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, 4 -8 PM.
