Dolores Cecile Leason
Dolores Cecile Leason, 68, died Thursday, April 20,2006 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Dolores was born in Burlington VT. At an early age, she moved to NY for a short time before she moved to the Malden area where she was raised. During her high school years, Dolores had chosen to follow the path of becoming a Nun. It was in her years at the Novitiate she met Charles F. Leason. At this point, Dolores changed her mind and married Charles, rather becoming a nun. Dolores and Charles settled in Malden where they raised their 4 children. While in Malden, Dolores became a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden. She enjoyed attending Bingo games, and playing cards, but she mostly enjoyed spending time in the company of her friends. She is survived by her children, Charles F. Leason, III of Laconia, NH, Elizabeth M. Giunta of Malden, Linda Doucette of Woburn, and MA, Brenda L. Leason of Everett, as well as 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Jr, her parents, Dominic and Isabelle (Russell) Mini, her mother Isabelle Russell, and her brother Dominic "Sonny" Mini. Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Friday, April 21st, from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 9:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi. Rev. Joseph R. Foster, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
